Meeting Between INTI University and UGC

A delegation from INTI University held a meeting with the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh on 11 December 2024. The meeting took place at the UGC office and was attended by UGC member Professor Md. Tanjimuddin Khan, Professor Dr. Md. Saidur Rahman, and UGC Secretary of Bangladesh Government Md. Fokhrul Islam.

The INTI University delegation was led by Dr. Mostaq Ahmmed, Technical Consultant, and included Vice President and Head of International Affairs Mr. Peng Len, as well as Director of International Development Ms. Gu Jinhua, representing the Hope Education Group.

During the meeting, Dr. Mostaq Ahmmed highlighted that Hope Education Group currently operates in over 27 countries, including China, Hungary, Belarus, Thailand, Malaysia, Poland, and France. The institution offers diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs, along with opportunities for students to engage in research projects in collaboration with over 500 companies.

He further emphasized that Hope Education Group is internationally recognized for its educational services. Proposed academic departments include Engineering, Modern Technology, Medicine, and Climate Safety.

Professor Md. Tanjimuddin Khan discussed opportunities for research collaboration, faculty recruitment, and tuition fee structures. INTI University, backed by the China-based Hope Education Group, has expressed its intention to establish a campus in Bangladesh. The initiative aligns with the Cross-Border Higher Education Act, 2014, although the establishment of the campus was originally proposed in 2010.
