Partnership and Linkage Program with Banglalink

Empowering Rural Communities through Innovation and Partnership: Launch of the GHEL-Banglalink CSR & Outreach Linkage Program in 2011. This strategic event marked the official launch of a ground breaking partnership between Green Housing & Energy Limited (GHEL) and Banglalink, aiming to scale up client outreach, social responsibility, and rural development through integrated ICT, renewable energy, housing, and microfinance services.

  • As a sister concern of ASA and a pioneer in social enterprise and sustainable development, GHEL joined forces with Banglalink to connect millions of rural and underserved communities in Bangladesh with affordable, customized technology, housing, SME services, and digital tools.A MoU Signing Ceremony had been organized at Banglalink Head Office between GHEL and Banglalink for Driving digital inclusion through CSR and GHEL’s affordable solar and ICT product offerings for microfinance clients.

Key Objectives of the Partnership:

  • Presented the joint venture model connecting microfinance clients with corporate CSR through mobile and ICT solutions.
  • Showcase GHEL’s technical branch network and its ability to serve last-mile clients with essential products (solar lanterns, housing, biogas, etc.).
  • Discuss strategies for scaling up outreach using Banglalink’s telecom infrastructure and GHEL’s client base.
  • Explore the Value Chain Model enabling job creation, market linkages, and enterprise support for low-income entrepreneurs.
  • Share actionable plans for financial inclusion, mobile banking, SME development, and ICT literacy at the grassroots level.
