Training Activities for SME and Microfinance Sector Development

The GHEL has great experiences in training and capacity building program and collaboration with International Centre for Microfinance & Social Enterprises Ltd. which is dedicated to alleviating poverty through the development of SME, microfinance and social businesses activities. GHEL and ICMSE jointly brings together SME Service Providers, Rural Banks, Cooperatives and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), also known as “banks of the poor”, which provide small loans to women and men living in extreme poverty. Such loans enable individuals to build their own small businesses and achieve financial autonomy, and therefore contribute to the improvement of living conditions, access to education and health of their families.

As the global Training and Consultancy organisation of SME, microfinance, GHEL & ICMSE has developed an international network and through its activities offering intensive training with four main objectives:

To transfer knowledge and capacity building between SME and microfinance practitioners by providing training dedicated to SME and microcredit knowledge management and achieving the sustainability;

To increase the better understanding about the sector through carrying out market study and research;

To increase transparency of the sector through an independent rating and evaluation;

  • To increase the connectivity with the leading funding agency;

To reduce the digital divide and building effective MIS system: GHEL developed SME and microfinance software and connects MFIs to the rest of the world by providing them with computers, training and web site design services,
